Rail is a premium UK train-tracking app for iPhone. Track a journey and it alerts you to platform changes, delays and cancellations — usually before the station board updates. Flighty, for trains.
No timetable maze, no adverts, no stations you did not ask about. Just the train you are on, the platform it is leaving from, and a nudge when that changes.

The platform, before the board
Rail listens to the same live feeds the operators use and tells you the moment a platform is confirmed or changed — usually before the departure board catches up. It always says whether a platform is confirmed or still expected.

Delay and connection alerts
Track a journey with an optional connection and Rail watches both trains. A delay, a cancellation or a connection that no longer works reaches you as a notification, so you can change plans while there is still time.
◉
A Live Activity on your lock screen
Your tracked train sits on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island: platform, expected time and status, one glance, no unlocking. It updates as the train does.
How it stays right
Every message archived, every feed watched.
Rail keeps an immutable archive of every raw message it receives from the rail feeds, before anything is parsed, so any alert can be traced back to exactly what the feed said and when. Integrity monitors watch each feed for silence, lag and schema drift, and every notification records the time from the feed to your phone. A predicted platform is never shown as a confirmed one, and an estimate is never shown as an actual.
Live rail data can still be wrong or late at the source. Rail is a faster way to hear it, not a replacement for official station announcements.
Rail never collects your location. Its server holds your Sign in with Apple identifier, the journeys you track and the token it needs to send you notifications — nothing else. No analytics SDK, no ads, no tracking. Delete your account from inside the app and it is all gone.
